Some of our customers seem a little confused about our Active Support service. I just thought I'd post this to help clear the air. Active Support is always open online technical support service for Windows based PCs. The technicians will support any PC hardware, Windows OS, and MS Office software. It is accessed via the Internet, but features a call-back number that can be used by paying customers to restore their system to a point where they can access the Internet. This service is very inexpensive and does the one thing that your PC vendor won't, support your altered configuration. Let's face it, a fully programmable PC is a silly thing to have if you never install new software or hardware. Once you do this, you get the PC vendor and your new software or hardware vendor playing the blame game with technical issues, or one of the items will no longer be warranteed. Either way, you have a problem and you need help. That's what Active Support was designed for. Active Support can also help with minor technical questions about using your applications. How to attach files or digitally sign email with Outlook. How to use your Outlook Address book to run a mail merge from Word. These are good examples of problems user's have daily. It's nice to know that Active Support is available at 3:00am to help you meet deadlines, or whatever. I hope this helps clear up some of the confusion about Advotech's Active Support Services.
