This is not another review. This is advice on how to adopt or migrate to Office 2007 with minimal pain. Now that the disclaimer is out of the way, here is the best advice I can offer. Train your users!!! Office 2007 uses a substantially different interface from previous versions and just finding a control you are used to using can be extremely time consuming without some good training. As an example, Office 2007 uses a new file format and just gaining access to the save as command so that files could be saved in an older format took me fifteen minutes on my first use of Word 2007 some time ago. As for the installation and migrations, I've seen few issues. In one case, the install failed and then failed to restore the previous Office version, but some minor IT work got it installed without any data loss. The new features and capabilities make this version more network friendly than any previous one, but to use them effectively you will need some solid training.
